Western Washington Medical Group (WWMG) is pleased to announce that Snohomish Family Medicine (SFM) joined their multi-specialty group on January 2, 2015. Snohomish Family Medicine, located at 629 Avenue D in Snohomish, has served their community with excellent medical care since 1953 and has grown over nearly 62 years to include five physicians and two nurse practitioners. Within Snohomish, and across northern Snohomish County, SFM is known for its compassionate medical practice that promises up-to-date medical knowledge, excellent technical skills, clear communication, caring service and personal attention.

“WWMG and Snohomish Family Medicine are committed to partner with our patients to help them stay well, have excellent access to the right care when they are ill, and manage their chronic illnesses. The vision and unique character of Snohomish Family Medicine is valued by WWMG, and together we will be working to improve models of assisting our patients with their medical needs,” said Ival Salyer, MD, Medical Director of SFM.

The addition of Snohomish Family Medicine continues the rapidly expanding partnership WWMG has with primary care providers in the region. In 2011 WWMG opened the Silver Lake Medical Clinic, expanding WWMG’s Family Medicine to the south end. The additions of Lake Serene Clinic in Lynnwood, Marysville Family Medicine, Whitehorse Family Medicine in Arlington and now Snohomish Family Medicine, brings 29 family practice providers to our area’s residents.

Patients in family practice have WWMG’s seventeen specialties available to them and along with the ease of an electronic medical records system that makes it unnecessary to have records sent from one practice to another. WWMG’s specialists see patients in Snohomish County, and several have offices in parts of Island and Skagit County.

“WWMG made a decision in 2010 to expand its partnerships with primary care providers and to bring a better balance of specialty and primary care providers into the organization,” said Jerry Tillinger, CEO. “Practices in WWMG are able to maintain a high level of individuality and autonomy in their practice while enjoying the benefits of a large group affiliation.” Tillinger states that WWMG will continue to grow in the coming years.
