Dr. Anissipour has received many honors, including a research award from the AO Spine Fellows Forum. He has many publications in orthopedic and spine journals and multiple ongoing research projects at Harborview Medical Center. Dr. Anissipour has written three textbook chapters in the field of spinal surgery and has presented his research at the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery Annual Meeting. Dr. Anissipour is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the North American Spine Society and the American Osteopathic Association. Personally, Dr. Anissipour is a former five-time National and two-time Pan-American karate champion, having represented the United States in the World Karate Championships. He is married and has returned to the Northwest to share his knowledge and practice with patients and family.
