Being physically well is only part of the formula for leading a happy, fulfilling life. To truly thrive, we also need to take care of our mental health.

The Western Washington Medical Group Psychology Care Center can help with a range of behavioral health issues for all ages of patients to ensure mental health needs are met. Individual, couples and family counseling is also offered.

For children, seeing a child psychologist is important in the formative years to identify any patterns that may indicate abnormalities. At the Psychology Care Center, we believe in taking a proactive vs. reactive approach to child psychology to prevent issues, if possible, before they arise.

For adults, seeing a psychologist is important if you’re experiencing symptoms of declining medical health. One way to know if you’re in need of help is to watch for any or all of these warning signs:

  • Lack of energy
  • Unexpected or unexplained aches and pains
  • Substance abuse
  • Depression and/or anxiety
  • PTSD: Chronic stress or episodes following a trauma
  • Overeating
  • Oversleeping or insomnia
  • Conflicts with loved ones
  • Mood swings
  • Irritability and anger
  • Hearing voices
  • Having an obsession with death or the desire to hurt yourself or others
  • The inability to perform daily tasks
  • The failure to care for yourself, or for others who are dependent upon you

In the most extreme cases, thoughts of suicide may arise. If you or someone you love is considering harming themselves or others, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255.
