On August 10th, the Washington State Department of Health launched a campaign to bring attention to the need for pre-teen boys and girls, 11-12 years old, to get vaccinated against human papillomavirus (HPV).
The campaign will run through much of September and it aims to make mothers aware that they can protect their children from certain cancers by getting their children vaccinated.
You can learn more at the Department of Health website. They have informational flyers and other materials available.
