Jose Mata, MD
Meet Dr. Jose Mata, a valuable member of the Snohomish Family Medicine team.
““My philosophy of care can be best described as shared decision-making. It is my job to help you decide if medical recommendations are the right choice for you and your family.”
Coughs, Colds and Respiratory Infections
We treat them with tools like rapid strep testing, on-site x-rays and nebulizer treatments. Our doctors can diagnose if your cold has turned into pneumonia or has triggered an asthma attack.
Sprains and Fractures
Our doctors have been actively involved in sports medicine, for years serving as sideline physicians for the Snohomish Panther & Glacier Peak Grizzly football teams. This experience allows them to accurately diagnose and treat acute injuries, utilizing x-rays when needed.
Work Injuries
Our team can guide you through your injury from diagnosis to recovery, whether it’s a back strain or an overuse injury such as carpal tunnel.
Payment & Insurance
Payment for your office visit is expected at the time of services unless you are covered by one of the contracted insurance companies with which we participate. You may provide payment in cash, debit card, check or credit card. If your insurance company requires a co-payment, this is required at the time of service. Please contact your insurance company to determine if we are a contracted provider for your plan.
Prescription Refills
We prescribe enough refills to last until you need to be seen by a doctor or have new laboratory tests. If you need a refill soon, please contact your pharmacy first to request the refill. It may take 48-72 hours for your order to be completed.
You may need an appointment to see one of our providers before your prescription is renewed. There are patient safety reasons why medications cannot be refilled continuously without periodic assessment by a physician. Some pain medications and other habit-forming medications are governed by state law. When these treatments are prescribed, we will require a signed agreement from the patient which outlines how these medications are managed.
Our Mission
Our mission is to extend the healing love of Christ to our community and beyond through compassionate, comprehensive health care of the highest quality. We promise you up-to-date medical knowledge, our best technical skills, clear communication, caring service, and our personal attention.
Our Promise
Our providers are committed to offering high quality medical care and creating an ideal “medical home” for our patients where they are valued as individuals on their life’s journey and where they can feel secure that their care will be coordinated and comprehensive.
As board-certified Family Practice physicians, we are specialists in caring for your entire family’s healthcare needs. Our comprehensive training enables us to diagnose and treat a wide range of medical problems. When necessary, we will partner with other specialists and therapists to arrange medical care. We want to work with you and your family as a team to achieve the high quality healthcare you deserve.
Our History
Established in 1953 by Dr. Leon Aller, Snohomish Family Medicine has been providing comprehensive health care to Snohomish County families for over 60 years.
Over his career, Dr. Aller tirelessly worked to bring medical care and supplies over many years to some of the most remote and poverty stricken locations, including war-torn Guatemala and Ethiopia. To this day, the physician partners at Snohomish Family Medicine maintain a sabbatical program which features a rotating position for one doctor to be away at any given time volunteering medical care and services to poor people around the world who otherwise would have little or no access to modern medical care. Dr. Aller also founded a medical clinic in rural Ethiopia.
Serving patients both in our community and beyond are trademarks of our team’s friendly “from the heart” approach and our ongoing desire to continuously help others. We look forward to serving you and your family.
